Riana is an excellent addition to any herd, She features that silver face fawn look that we have had so much luck making grey cria from.
A nice build and excellent pedigree featuring Accoyo Don Julio , She sports the build of a macho male with a super correct head and dense neck. A total wow fleece that is super consistent lacking guard hair. These bloodlines are not only super but quite rare as well!
In the '06 Making of Champions sale catalog, Julie Skinner of Snowmass Alpacas states that she traded two imported full Accoyo studs to obtain PERUVIAN DON JULIO, "...he was that good!". Listed as 'Cantexto' in import records, he recieved a 'superior' rating. Exported to Australia in 1997, there are no more DON JULIO progeny being born in the US.
Riana's grand sire 'Mr. Maverick' also deceased was said to be a replica of Don Julio himself and he certainly passed these excellent traits onto Rianna. She has a very uniform crimp structure and superb coverage!
Her grand dam is the outstanding PPERUVIAN DIONISIA B4231, owned by Mike Safely of North West Alpacas, from the Hurapina herd of the Rural Alianza. She has retained an average fiber diameter of under 24 microns at 11 years of age - amazing!
For 2011 we bred her to our 1/2 Accoyo Rose Grey male Yana, Producing an excellent rose grey male with superior fleece bundles and color.
For 2012 we have bred her to our Silver Grey Aussie Rockford Son ' BOLERO' should see amazing results! Combining Accoyo Felix with Accoyo Don Julio in fantastic color!
Rianna had a fantastic silver grey male in 2012 .. We will be rebreeding her to Bolero for next spring! Cria not included in price
